Our Origin Story

       During the Great Depression my great grandfather ran a small general store in the country in West Tennessee. Through his ingenuity and smart investments, he was able to use the wealth he created to allow families in need to purchase necessities on credit at his little store when they needed it most. In light of the current econmic outlook, I wanted to create something that would help everyday Americans be able to easily start a business from their own home by putting in place a marketplace where they didn't have to compete with the world, where you can choose to shop locally online all on one site, no matter what part of the country you're in. I prayed to God for months asking Him to use me if it be His will any way he could to help save this country. Little did I know this is what I would be compelled to do. Jesus said in John 14:13 "And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." All the glory goes to God for making this possible. If you want to support American jobs and production here in the U.S.A., this site is for you. This is my online version of that little country general store.

       I had grown tired of scrolling through Amazon trying to find something not made in China. So much of the U.S.'s manufacturing has been outsourced to other countries, causing loss of jobs and wages here at home and abhorrent working conditions and exploitation abroad. Quality is sacrificed and shipping times are lengthened. Reliance on foreign countries for necessities, makes all of us vulnerable and threatens national security. So, I decided to start My Country, a multi-vendor marketplace where American companies who make their goods here in the U.S.A , do not have to compete with the world. I realized early on in this journey that I could not make this vision a reality on my own in such a short amount of time. So, as providence would have it, God put the right people in place to help make my vision a reality. Although, there are many great products across the globe we all use and love, this site is dedicated to selling only products made in America. We hope to expand to other countries, with the same business model and provide other people from other nations with the tools they need to prosper in their own country without having to rely on unnecessary foreign imports or goods that can be produced in their own country. We hope you will join us on this journey in our pursuit to help save our nation and hopefully other nations from the tragic consequences of globalism.
